2025 Election Information

The following seats are up for election in 2025:

o    Mayor (4-year term) – January 2026 through December 2029

o    Two Council Members (4-year term) – January 2026 through December 2029

If you are planning on running for office please fill out THIS FORM and bring with you when you come to file during the week of June 2 through June 6th (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) - it will help speed up the process.

The Qualifications to run for office are:

•          Be a registered voter of Lindon City.
•          Be a resident of Lindon City for twelve consecutive months immediately prior to the election.
•          In accordance with Utah Constitution, Article IV, Section 6, a mentally incompetent individual, an individual convicted of a felony, or an individual convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored under Section 20A-2-101.3 or 20A-2-101.5.

Candidate Filing Period:

The candidate filing period will be June 2, 2025 to June 6, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (UCA 20A-9-203(3))

June 2-6: Candidate Filing period

September 2: Last day to qualify as a write-in candidate

Primary Election Dates (if needed)

August 1: Last day to register to vote (may vote provisionally before the polls close on the last day of early voting or on election day) (UCA 20A-2-102.5, UCA 20A-2-207)

August 12: Primary Election

General Election Dates

October 24: Last day to register to vote (may vote provisionally before the polls close on the last day of early voting or on election day) (UCA 20A-2-102.5, UCA 20A-2-207)

November 4: General Election

Voter Registration:

Residents can register to vote in one of several ways:

•          Mail a registration form to the Utah County Clerk’s office (100 East Center Street, Room 3100, Provo, UT 84606)
•          In person at the Utah County Clerk’s office
•          On-line at vote.utah.gov
•          By provisional ballot on Election Day or during the early voting period (UCA 20A-2-207)
